Doing Business Right

A while back, I read a post made by Sam Adeyemi about how he was getting stressed when he thought of a document he was to obtain abroad until his cousin bailed him out, showing him how easy it was to get it. 

Then, I remembered how a colleague of mine complained about the stress he had to go through for a document he was to collect. And I began to think if this was a thing of power play or we just like to make others go through what we have gone through (that is, facing difficulties).

Almost immediately, I remembered a verse in the Bible (which is mostly used in transactions but could be used in this situation). It says, “people curse those who sell their grain for higher prices but they bless the one who sells them in their time of need”. 

After seeing this, I began to remember when people cursed authorities because of the stress they went through when they needed certain things done. There is certainly no joy in curses and abuses but, it seems we are used to making life difficult for others in this part of the world that the words no longer seem to get to us. 

How hard can it be to get the right things done at the right time without making it difficult for others? And even if situations hinder you from doing the right thing at that time, authentic explanations should be given, not toying with people like they are puppets. Whatever position (little or great) you might find yourself in, right dealings in ease with little or no power play matter.
